About Us
Interzircon Australia
Central Kalimantan is an Indonesian Province on the island of Borneo of significant untapped potential. Central Kalimantan has the added advantage of political and environmental stability relative to other provinces in Indonesia and other parts of the mining world. With this underlying stability, in 2008, Interzircon commenced work in the region.
Moreover, Central Kalimantan’s zircon is arguably the best quality due to its favourable characteristics. Preferred by many end users in secondary industries worldwide, coupled with demand outweighing supply, zircon was and continues to be a very lucrative industry to enter.
Lastly and importantly, mineral sands is simple and has low-cost mining and processing. It also has high value mineral assemblage coupled with relatively low capital expenditure compared to other forms of resources extraction, especially in Indonesia. This makes Interzircon a very economic mining operation.
Objectives & Vision
Crucial
Critical mineral with arguably zircon product with excellent quality with minimal impurities, perfect for advanced technological applications.
Efficient
With mechanised mining and the prioritisation of production scalability, cost reduction will result in improved operational margins and enhanced economics of scale.
Potential
With currently six mines, additional exploration resources can be obtained through both in-fill drilling and via further mine acquisitions.
Environmentally Friendly
Minimal environmental footprint, low waste or emissions and reclamation programs in place.
International Network
Our client base is wide and diverse and includes numerous well established international blue-chip companies.
Vibrant Market
The robust forecast in the price of zircon and mineral sand is attributed to a disparity in supply and demand. With many other mines nearing end of mine life.
Experienced Team
Demonstrated proficiency in procuring, nurturing, and managing mining ventures with 15 years in Indonesia and mineral sands.
Government Relationships

- The Indonesian Government has made a deliberate choice to have Interzircon actively endorse and support Indonesia and Central Kalimantan (regarding zircon and mineral sands) at the China-ASEAN conference.
- The Indonesian Government’s choice reflects a conscious policy decision aimed at fostering its growth and success in mineral sands.
- This promotion is based on Interzircon being arguably the biggest Indonesian mineral sands company.
- Interzircon was also heavily involved in the 2023 Roundtable Conference on China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation and “Two Countries, Twin Parks” Project Sharing in China in September 2023.
